A little chaos.
So the other day, after moving in to my new room (which is totally sweet, as an aside), I went to the mall to get a futon. Charlie and Kevin, who don't have meal plans this year, asked if they could come along to pick up some supplies, and I aquiesced. Since Tuesday had just returned this day, we asked her if she wanted to ride along as well, so she rode with us too.
After shopping, when we're trying to load all of our purchases into the car, we run into some obstacles. The boxed futon won't fit in the trunk, so we have to break it open so we can load the frame in the trunk and put the mattress in the backseat, on top of the two passengers. Then we load all the groceries in the trunk, and since it won't shut, we tie it down with Kevin's belt. Charlie and Tuesday gagging behind a giant mattress, Kevin loads a case of bottled water on his lap and we figure we're good to go.
But then Charlie starts to go a little nuts. Somehow he gets a foot up to the front seat and is able to set it on Kevin's lap, who then removes Charlie's shoe and starts beating on the foot from which it came. Bottles of water are flying everywhere, Kevin and Charlie are wailing at each other, and Tuesday is having a rather nonchalant conversation with her family on her cell phone. Meanwhile, I'm basically just driving, wondering what went wrong and how I allowed it. It was a nice welcome back to campus.
And then the other night when Sarah and I were flyering for band, we found a giant pile of orange and black balloons in an archway under one of the buildings. It being 2 am on a Monday night, the only proper course of action was to jump up and down and pop them all, listening to the loud echoes under the arch. Public safety must be totally worthless if they didn't track us down and give us crap. Guess they're worthless.
Ring ring. Hello, Pot? This is the kettle. You're black.
